Tile and flooring
Tile and flooring are only as good as the flat, dry surface beneath them.
We set tile on floors, backsplashes and shower walls, and lay wood-look and hardwood floors through kitchens and baths. We check the floor first, because most failed tile jobs fail in the base.
What's included
Floor, wall and backsplash tile
A flat, sound base: patches, leveling or new underlayment
Waterproofing in showers and tub surrounds
Hardwood and wood-look planks
Transitions at doorways

Cost
What changes the cost
No figure here, because the room sets it. These are the things that move it.
The floor beneath
Leveling and repairs come before any finish.
Tile size and pattern
Large tile needs a flatter floor; patterns use more tile.
How much runs through
A floor that continues into the next room costs more.
Heat
A heated floor needs wiring and a thermostat.

Questions about this work
Can you tile over my old tile?
Rarely. We look at the base and tell you what has to come out.
How long before I can use a tiled shower?
We give cure times in the estimate and we don't shorten them.
